The Fremont Antique Car Club (FACC) was started in 1966 to help promote the preservation and restoration of antique vehicles. Over the years, what started out as a small club has grown today with over 100 members. Today the Fremont Area Car Club members have a variety of antique, classic, and late-model cars, trucks, military vehicles, motorcycles, scooters, rods, and other special interest vehicles.
Our main event of the year is our annual swap meet which is always held on the fourth Sunday in September. It has grown into one of Nebraska’s oldest and largest one-day swap meets. But being a member of the car club it’s not all hard work; members also enjoy the car shows, parades, road rallies, Drive-n-Dine, potlucks, and many other car-related events throughout the year.
The community has always been important to the club, so the Fremont Area Car Club offers scholarships when we can for area high school seniors going into an automotive-related field of study. Other clubs and organizations in the Fremont area have also benefited from the Fremont Area Car Club with monetary and food donations.
